Michael Pergine
Chief Business Development Officer
As a founding executive of Organon, Michael directs global strategic policy-shaping efforts across the full portfolio of franchises. He leads U.S. and International government affairs activities, and engages in Organon’s comprehensive ESG program with a focus on access to medicine.
Prior to joining Organon, Michael spent 25 years at Merck, known as MSD outside the U.S., where he led the global strategy and operations for the HPV vaccine franchise. In addition, he engaged in product development activities for multiple assets, managed global supply chains, led vaccine business development and alliance management activities, oversaw strategic planning efforts across an integrated R&D, manufacturing & supply and commercial vaccine enterprise, and represented the company to government officials around the world. Previously, he was a Senior Consultant at both Ernst & Young and BDM Technologies, where he engaged with multiple global companies across several continents, in various industry sectors.
Michael has a B.S. in logistics from Penn State University and additional executive education certifications from the Wharton School, Duke University (Fuqua School of Business), Harvard Business School Executive Education, and Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy. He is on the Board of the US-ASEAN Business Council (Nominating Committee) and the Board of the National Center for APEC (Executive Committee).
