About this report

ESG reporting disclaimer

The information contained on this webpage and in our ESG Reports (collectively, the “ESG Report”) is intended to comply with the general principles, laws, rules and regulations related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG), sustainability or corporate responsibility.

However, please be aware that ESG standards and regulatory requirements may vary significantly across different jurisdictions. As such, depending on your country of residence or incorporation, there may be specific local requirements or standards that the ESG Report does not fully address. We encourage you to consider your local requirements and your own ESG criteria and objectives when selecting our products and services

It should be noted that no universally accepted global framework (legal, regulatory, or otherwise) currently exists, nor is there a market consensus in terms of what constitutes a “green”, “sustainable”, “responsible”, “traditional”, or equivalent “ESG” investment, communication, product, or offering. Furthermore, no assurance can be given that such a universally accepted framework or consensus will develop over time. Although there have been regulatory efforts in certain jurisdictions and regions (in particular, in the European Economic Area) to define such concepts, the legal and regulatory framework is still under development.

Additionally, the lack of common or harmonized definitions and labels currently regarding what is considered “green”, “ESG”, “sustainable”, “responsible”, and other similar criteria, or clear guidelines on what these monikers mean may result in different approaches being taken by different institutions.

Accordingly, given that the ESG Report is not subject to any external regulatory or other regime, audit, review or other oversight, no assurance, warranty or representation can be given by Organon & Co., Inc. or any of its subsidiaries or affiliated companies, that it will meet any or all expectations regarding “green”, “ESG”, “sustainable”, “responsible”, or other equivalently labelled objectives.

In addition, the providers of any opinions, certifications, reviews and validations in connection with Organon programs and/or frameworks are not currently subject to any specific regulatory or other regime or oversight. Any such opinion, certification, review and validation issued in connection with Organon programs and/or frameworks is not, nor should be deemed to be, a recommendation by us or any opinion or certification provider, external verifier or any other person. All of this information involves a variety of assumptions, limitations and methodologies and is inherently subject to uncertainties, and therefore you are cautioned not to give undue weight to them.  Prospective consumers of the ESG Report must determine for themselves the relevance of any such opinion, certification, review or validation and/or the information contained therein and/or the provider of such opinion, certification, review or validation.

Cautionary note regarding forward-looking statements

Some statements and disclosures on or available through this webpage are “forward-looking statements” within the meaning of the safe harbor provisions of the U.S. Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. Forward-looking statements include all statements that do not relate solely to historical or current facts and can be identified by the use of words such as “may,” “expects,” “intends,” “anticipates,” “plans,” “believes,” “seeks,” “estimates,” “will,” or words of similar meaning. These forward-looking statements are based on our current plans and expectations and are subject to a number of risks and uncertainties that could cause our plans and expectations, including actual results, to differ materially from the forward-looking statements. Organon undertakes no obligation to publicly update any forward-looking statement, whether as a result of new information, future events or otherwise. Additional factors that could cause results to differ materially from those described in the forward-looking statements can be found in Organon’s filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), including Organon’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2023 and subsequent SEC filings, available at the SEC’s internet site.

Our disclosures are informed by the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation’s Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards for our industry and the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework, as well as feedback from stakeholders including employees, investors, and ESG ratings agencies. We also support, and align our reporting to, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (U.N. SDGs). This priority-based approach to ESG reporting helps ensure that we can continue to build a meaningful ESG strategy that responds to external events, evolving business priorities, stakeholder expectations, and our own performance results.

We believe that by advancing the complete health of women, we advance the health of society. And our ESG strategy helps ensure we deliver on our corporate vision: A better and healthier every day for every woman. Our ESG priorities are embedded throughout our business, where we focus on the issues that matter most to our stakeholders, our company and women around the world.   Throughout the year, we use a data-driven and dynamic qualitative and quantitative process for ESG risk identification and monitoring.

The priority topics we track reflect ESG issues that are important to Organon, based on the results of our ESG materiality assessment that was conducted in 2021.
